The past ten days have brought warming water temperatures and a hot bite for Trout, reds and snook. water temps in the mid 70s have fish actively feeding along the inshore waters of pinellas and hillsborough counties. just about every trip recently has produced inshore slams and often multiple slams. the hot lures have been a 1/4 oz lead head jig rigged with a mirrolure lil john in Golden Brream or watermelon glitter and 1/2 oz gold johnson weedless spoons. the bite has been best on the second half of the incoming tides and beginning of the outgoing along the flats adjacent to mangrove shorelines.
