every year I shut down the guiding business from the 4th of july through the end of september because it's just to darn hot to spend four or five hours wade fishing in florida. not only is it to hot, the bite is short, as it usually starts just before sunrise and lasts for an hour and a half and picks up again an hour or so before sunset until just after. I spent the summer where the temperatures were much cooler and the fishing was good all day long. Trips included striper fishing on the beaches, flats and inlets of cape cod and maine, wading the streams of New hampshire and the rivers of montana for trout and deep jigging for lingcod in puget sound.
